You can open Pokémon packs online on CARDZ and get the real card. Each draw gives you one card or graded slab from a pool you can see before you pay. Some packs have sealed booster boxes as prizes instead. This page sorts our Pokémon posts by pack type, so you can find the kind of opening you like.
New to mystery boxes? Our Pokémon mystery box guide explains how they work. This page lists the packs.
The lineup changes. New packs arrive, and older ones sell out or retire. Each post below covers one release. The CARDZ homepage shows which packs are open right now.
How a Pokémon pack works
- One draw gives one card or graded slab from the listed pool. In box packs, the prize can be a sealed booster box.
- Before you pay, the pack page shows the possible cards, the odds for each rarity tier, the value range, the number of draws and any minimum guarantee.
- Once a pack is published, its pool and odds stay fixed for that pack.
- Pools can hold raw cards and graded slabs. Most featured cards in the posts below are Japanese PSA 10 slabs.

Character packs
A character pack builds its pool around one Pokémon. The featured cards are different versions of that Pokémon, so you can compare them before you open.
- Charizard Pack: MEGA Charizard X ex MUR [M2 116/080], Reshiram & Charizard GX [SM10 097/095] and first-edition Charizard [CP6 011/087] lead the featured five.
- Pikachu Pack: Pikachu ex [MC 764/742] and [M2a 234/193] in PSA 10, plus ungraded Pikachu ex promos [131/M-P] and [132/M-P].
- Mew Pack: Bubble Mew ex SAR [SV4a 347/190] leads, with Mew Mysterious Tail UR [S8a 030/028] and Mew ex SAR [SV2a 205/165].
- Mewtwo Pack: Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex SAR [SV10 125/098] leads, with Mewtwo ex FUR [M6a 134/103] and Mewtwo VSTAR SAR [S12a 221/172].
- Umbreon Pack: Umbreon VMAX [S6a 095/069], Umbreon V SR [S6a 085/069] and Umbreon ex SAR [SV8a 217/187], with random raw Pokémon cards in the pool.
- Greninja Pack: MEGA Greninja ex MUR [M4 120/083] leads a water-type pool with Starmie, Magikarp and Squirtle. On CARDZ it is listed as the Water Pack.
- Poncho Party: Japanese Pikachu promos, including Mario Pikachu 294/XY-P, Luigi Pikachu 296/XY-P and two poncho Pikachu cards.
Booster box prizes and 100-box challenges
Some packs give sealed Japanese booster boxes as prizes instead of single cards. If you like opening a full box yourself, start here.
- M6 100-Box Challenge: the top prize is 100 Japanese M6 (Storm Emeralda) boxes. Other featured prizes are 10, 5, 3 and single boxes.
- M6a Anniversary Challenge: one top prize of 100 M6a boxes, at odds of 1 in 500.
- Rayquaza Mystery Box: a Japanese Blue Sky Stream (S7R) box leads. Prizes also include M6 boxes in bundles of 1, 5 and 10, and a LEGO® Pokémon™ Rayquaza set.
1-in-2 packs
The Pokémon 50/50 Pack has two possible results. You get either an M6A 30th Celebration Futuristic Box or an M6 Japanese booster box, each at 1 in 2.
Each opening is drawn on its own. Two openings do not guarantee one of each box.
Fragments
Fragments work differently. A draw can give you one numbered piece of a featured card instead of the finished card. Collect one of each unique piece and combine the set. The finished card is then added to your collection.
- Duplicate numbers do not complete a set.
- A single piece cannot be shipped.
- A single piece may get a buyback offer where one is shown.
CARDZ shows the pieces each set needs. The Fragments System page has the full rules.
What to check before you open
- The odds and value range for each rarity tier.
- The card language. Most featured cards in these posts are Japanese, and each featured list marks a card JP or EN.
- Graded or raw. Featured lists name the grade, and ungraded cards are marked raw.
- The number of draws and any minimum guarantee.
What you can do with the card
- Keep it in your Backpack, with no time limit and no storage fee.
- Convert it to Points at the buyback offer shown at the time. The offer can be much lower than what you paid for the pack.
- Ship it to your address with tracking, by FedEx, DHL or, in some regions, Japan Post EMS.
Each result is drawn with SHA-256 from a server seed, a client seed and a nonce. The formula and a reference implementation are on the RNG and Verifiable Fairness page. Staff cannot choose an individual player's result.
